Oversized graphics make a big impact

The addition of the HP Scitex 1500 has brought many new and exciting projects to the Lake Erie Graphics shop. The Scitex makes it possible for us to produce backdrops, banners and signs in virtually any size. Large full color graphics leave an unforgettable impression and are effective for many different applications.

Recently, The Oakland University Department of Music, Theatre and Dance in Rochester Michigan charged us with the task of creating a stage backdrop for their musical production of “Follies.” We produced a full color 20 ft. x 22 ft. vinyl backdrop for their show by printing two 10 ft. x 22 ft. panels and welding the seams together. Grommets were added for installation. This graphic served as the backdrop for the “Follies” 11 show dates. Fabric and canvas backdrops are also available.

Oversized graphics have a powerful effect outdoors too. Cummins Inc., a global leader in producing engines and related technologies, wanted to use large banners outside their headquarters in Columbus, IN to show their support for a local cause. They wanted their banners to stretch horizontally across two sides of their building for maximum visibility. We created two impressive 10.5 ft. x 90 ft. digitally printed vinyl mesh banners for this project. These massive banners not only helped Cummins successfully attract the attention of passing pedestrians and motorists, but they also received local media coverage.
