5 Tips for saving money on your next print order
Printing on a budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality. There are many creative ways that you can spend less and still have great looking printed materials. Here are our top five tips for saving money on your next print order.
1. Take advantage of digital printing.
Digital printing is an affordable alternative to traditional offset printing. The digital press produces full color quality prints using an efficient PDF workflow. Features of the digital press include consistent reprints, remote proofing, and variable data printing.
One of the most cost effective benefits of the digital press is its ability to print in short runs. You only need to print what you need when you need it. Reprints are easy and affordable, even if you make file updates. Small orders eliminate waste due to overprinting making digital printing a more environmentally friendly choice as well.
2. Make sure you are finished editing before sending us your files.
The fewer changes we have to make to your document the better. Errors, image touch ups, and design changes rack up charges that could be avoided. Look at your proofs carefully. Double check elements such as color, fonts, text, images, and trim size.
3. If you have multiple print jobs coming up try to print them together.
If you know you will have multiple jobs printing close to the same time plan for them to run together. This maximize the use of paper and ink. It also saves you money in set up costs.
4. Print multiple wide format projects at once.
Just like printing regular print jobs together, you can print your wide format projects together too. We can print on multiple rolls of material at one time on our new HP Scitex XL 1500. By printing more than one project at once you will save on material and set up costs. This works great for banners, posters and other wide format products.
