Celebrating 20 years in business

It all began 20 years ago in Cleveland Ohio. Two Northeast Ohio natives, Jim Dietz and Bill Bartinelli were beginning their careers in the printing industry. Jim worked in prepress and Bill was a pressman. Together they decided they wanted to open their own print shop and in 1990 Lake Erie
Graphics was born.

Lake Erie Graphics began as a small print shop on Cleveland’s
near West side and in 1993 moved to the banks of industrial flats. The
young shop offered only one and two color printing and finishing, but
Jim and Bill had a vision of growth for their new company. They were
committed to investing in new technology and equipment and over the years were able to add more printing presses and finishing machines to their shop. One of the newer additions was the Kodak NexPress digital press, which greatly expanded Lake Erie Graphics printing capabilities by offering quality prints in short runs.

As the business grew, so did the Lake Erie Graphics staff. Press
operators, prepress technicians, sales people and customer service representatives were hired to serve the increasing customer needs. In early 2007, Bill and Jim decided to move their operations to a 64,000 sq. ft. facility in Brook Park, OH to accommodate their growth.

The additional space in the new building presented an exciting opportunity to expand the company into the large format printing market. Between 2007 and 2009 Lake Erie Graphics acquired three wide format printing presses, the largest of which prints at over 10 ft. wide. These new machines introduced a whole new line of printed products including vehicle graphics, vinyl banners, signs, wall graphics and more. The larger building also allowed room for a vehicle graphics installation bay, a lamination room for large graphics and over 10,000 ft. of warehousing space. It was through this expansion that Wrap It Up Graphics, a wide format printing subsidiary of Lake Erie Graphics, was created.

After 20 years in business we would like to thank our customers for their continued loyalty and support. We have seen the printing industry evolve over the years as our customers have presented us with new ideas and challenges. Growing with our customers’ needs and progressing from a print shop to a graphics solution provider has been a rewarding journey. We look forward to continuing to grow and serve our community for years to come.
